Legal Lessons for Life @ your library

Adults of all ages are invited to come to the under50over this Friday. Starting at 10:30 in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor, Mallie Daniel will present "Legal Lessons for Life." The program will provide legal tips including The Best Way To Hold Title To The Home And Protect It From Creditors; Use A Living Trust to Eliminate Probate Delays, Costs And Legal Fees as well as other legal topics. Mallie Daniel represents The Society for Financial Awareness, a 501c3 Non-Profit Education Speakers Bureau.

Fire Truck Visit and Storytime

Join us for a firetruck visit for toddlers and preschoolers on Friday, September 3.  Captain Faulkner with the Houston Fire Department's Station 72 will read a story at 10:30 AM.  Storytime spaces are limited.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk when the library opens Friday morning.  Following the story, children can meet firefighters and see a working firetruck.  Parents or caregivers are encouraged to bring a camera to take pictures.  For information about this visit, please call 281-488-1906.

Yes, that is correct. September is Library Card Sign Up Month and we hope you can help us spread the word to get new visitors to apply! Or perhaps your card is expired or needs to be updated. What better time is there than September to do just these things?!

The under50over Program had a great summer full of various programs!  

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library looks forward to the continuation of the under50over Program in September. The schedule of events for September 2010 is to the left.* 

All presentations except for Movie Day start at 10:30 am each Friday morning. On Movie Days, under50over begins promptly at 10:15 am. Movie Days usually take place on the last Friday of the month. Refreshments are compliments of the Friends of Freeman. Programs normally meet in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor.
