Why Baby Day?
Baby Day highlights the importance of early relational health – or the nurturing interactions between young children and their caregivers that shape emotional, social, and cognitive development. The relationship between a young child and their caregivers is the most crucial for a child's development. Their relationship is built from simple, everyday positive interactions.
Libraries are part of a young child’s early relational health ecosystem. Libraries connect and provide young children and their caregivers with the resources, materials, and knowledge they need to promote early literacy and meaningful interactions. From story times to play areas to parenting books to Baby Day, your public library is helping the families in our community.
