Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one? Do you know someone who has? I think these are all questions many of us have been asked at one time or another. Ghosts and all things paranormal are subjects that have fascinated people for centuries. We want to see this illusive spirit that is beyond the realm we know. I am one of those folks who has longed for proof and wanted to know for sure if they are real or not. I have had people I hold dear claim to have witnessed a spirit’s presence. That certainly has fueled my fascination and search for the paranormal even more!
I know I am not alone in this obsession because there are plenty of YouTube channels and TV. series devoted to this subject; Ghost Hunters, Ancient Aliens, Paranormal Caught on Camera, The Dead Files, and the list goes on. There is a certain hunger for truth that arises when watching these shows, but I find that there is also a dissatisfaction with the fact that the proof they present is always a little too vague for my eyes. Most of the happenings on the set are feelings they have and activity from the EMF meter (electromagnetic field). They felt a chill in the air or had this dark sick feeling inside when they entered that haunted room. Sometimes, something moves on the camera that shouldn’t have, and that is just about all the proof you are going to get. I guess with all my longings for the truth, that is not enough for me! I want more; I want to see the entity!
So, my personal search continues as I am sure it does for many others. I think it comes down to a specific reason for me: I want to believe and take it a step further. I think it is because it would certify that there is something more beyond what we know.
It is that time of year again when we celebrate Halloween with parties, candy, and trick-or-treat activities centered around goblins, ghosts, and all things spooky. We will be certain to see a ghost or two then, but not the kind I will probably search for until the day I die!
