About Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library @ Mercer Park

Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library has played an important role in the community since 1986. Though the building flooded in Hurricane Harvey in 2017, it did not take long before staff set up outreaches, pop-up locations, and partnerships with Lone Star College North Harris, and for the past 5 years, Mercer Botanic Gardens. Currently located behind the Mercer Visitor Center, Baldwin Boettcher’s Little Community Library continues to host programs and outreaches, offer circulation services, and more, all in the beautiful Mercer Botanic Gardens setting.
As of May 1, 2023, we have officially begun the rebuilding process. We are happy to serve our community here, but cannot wait until the day we can welcome everyone into the full-service library that our community needs and deserves.
Hi, I'm Victoria Alardin, Assistant Branch Manager for Youth Services at Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library at Mercer Botanic Gardens. My favorite book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. At Baldwin Boettcher, we enjoy being back in the community and serving our wonderful patrons. There is a lot going on at the library. We hope you visit us soon.
