About Stratford Branch Library
Hello, my name is Lisa Blackwell. My first library experience outside of education came at the Harris County Public Library. For years, it has supported my family through reading programs, investigating health concerns, and both of my Masters. Not to mention the countless print jobs! I came to work for HCPL in 2017 after volunteering and shortly after traveled around Houston spreading the joy of reading with the Curiosity Cruiser.
More recently I’ve earned my Library Science Degree and am currently serving as Branch Manager of the Highlands Stratford Library. My vision is to work towards integrating the wonderful community of Highlands and surrounding areas by providing programs and a space that supports, connects, and promotes the use of our library for all individuals. When I’m not at the Branch or outreaches; I am at home with my family or on a vacation to an adventurous destination listening to books on Libby.
